In addition to any other prerequisites or eligibility requirements that apply as communicated by HPE, the Customer must meet the following prerequisites for the service delivery:
- Have a new HPE Edgeline System, an eligible supported version of Microsoft or Linux® operating system, and valid licenses.
- Operating systems eligible for installation under this service are Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat® Enterprise Linux Server (RHEL), and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES). Services are available separately from HPE for installing non-eligible operating systems. Refer to the current Supported operating systems for HPE Edgeline, HPE Moonshot, and HPE IoT Gateway Systems for a list of supported OS.
- For systems with multiple servers per chassis, one operating system image will be installed on one server blade within the chassis. Services are available separately from HPE for the installation of operating systems on additional server blades. If an established HPE Performance Cluster Manager (HPCM), HPE Insight Cluster Management Utility (CMU), or Microsoft Windows Deployment Services (WDS) environment exists with a functional PXE boot environment and server provisioning capabilities to load an OS image, then the service specialist will load one OS image to all server nodes within the chassis.
- Have all cabling and network connections installed and functional.
-
- Service is limited to installing one (1) HPE Edgeline System and one (1) eligible operating system at one Customer location. Services are available from HPE for the installation of operating systems on additional server blades. Contact your HPE sales representative for more information.
- If the Customer requires to install an operating system from a virtual media, they must have an HPE Integrated System Manager (iSM) Advanced license or HPE iLO Advanced license as applicable.
- Upon the Customer’s request, the service specialist can optionally launch Windows update or Linux Update Manager, as applicable. This task is limited only to initiating the update process and does not include any further assistance from HPE. Ensuring the completion of the update or addressing any issues that may arise upon initiation of the update process remains the Customer’s full responsibility.
