Supported upgrades and downgrades

A brief overview about supported upgrades and downgrades for HPE StoreEasy 1000 Storage System (SW v5.06.0x.yy and SW v6.00.0x.yy) and HPE StorEasy management console (v1.2.5 and v1.2.6):

HPE StoreEasy 1000 Storage System SW v5.06.0x.yy .

The OS is based on Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2016.

It does not support in place upgrade to SW v6.00.0a. You have to wipe and replace the software if you want to upgrade to a Microsoft Windows Server 2019 IoT based OS. An upgrade kit, pn R7G45B, has to be purchased for each StoreEasy system that is to be upgraded.
HPE StoreEasy management console v1.2.5 or lower.

  • It can be upgraded to HPE StoreEasy management console v1.2.6.

  • It can be downgraded to HPE StoreEasy management console v1.2.4.

The OS is based on Microsoft Windows Server 2019 IoT.

Downgrades are not supported.
HPE StoreEasy management console v1.2.6 It cannot be downgraded to an earlier version.
