System recovery of HPE StoreEasy 1000 storage using network share drive

Prerequisites:

Ensure that the product ID is correct and updated.

Procedure:

  1. Reboot the HPE StoreEasy 1000 storage system from the iLO remote console.

  2. Press F12 (the default option on screen) or press F11 and select the PXE enabled NIC adapter from the options displayed.

  3. One time boot menu screen appears. Select the network configuration that is connected to PXE boot. Select the ipv4 network configuration adapter.

  4. On Windows Boot Manager screen, select the operating system from Choose an operating system to start list.

  5. Build selection wizard appears with a dialog box that allows you to select the build from the list. Once you select the build, click OK.

  6. On System Installation and Recovery screen, click Restore Factory Image.

  7. Click OK on the dialog box to confirm that you want to start the restoration process.

  8. Image restoration process starts. Your system will reboot several times.

  9. On Settings screen, select the desired language and click Next.

  10. Click I accept to accept the end-user license agreement on Settings screen.

  11. Enter the username and password and click Finish.

  12. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to login. Enter the password on login screen.

  13. Post installation process starts. Once it completes, the system will be up for use, completing the QR process.
