Impact of changing OS deployment settings

You can change the uplink port configuration of an External deployment network, but this change also requires changing the physical cabling of the components to match the logical enclosure.

You can change the deployment network from None to either Internal or External to add deployment capability to an existing logical enclosure, or you can change the deployment network from Internal or External to None to remove deployment capability from an existing logical enclosure.

However, an existing logical enclosure does not support all types of changes. For example, do not change:

  • the deployment network from Internal to External or vice-versa
  • the Image Streamer uplink ports used for Internal deployment networks
