EFuse

If it becomes necessary to completely remove power from a device, EFuse allows you to reset conditions without physically removing and re-inserting the device. Use the HPE OneView API Reference for HPE Synergy for EFuse to remove, then restore power to the device bay.

Use of EFuse addresses any firmware-related initialization issues with the device. In the rare case that the issue is related to connectors in the device bay, physically removing the device from the bay and re-inserting might be needed to restore the device to proper functioning.

NOTE:

Performing an EFuse will disrupt the functioning of the device, any workload executing on the device, and any management processor of the device. The device is removed from HPE OneView appliance and then re-discovered by HPE OneView. This process may take several minutes.
