Edit a logical interconnect group
Configuration changes made to a logical interconnect group are not automatically propagated to the member logical interconnects. However, by changing the logical interconnect group, you can update each logical interconnect with a single action.
Modification to the logical interconnect group applies only to the template. Any modifications to the template are not propagated to the member logical interconnects. To propagate the changes, follow the steps described in the procedure.
You can edit the following information on the logical interconnect group screen:
Edit uplink sets by either selecting or clearing the uplink ports, adjusting port speeds, and selecting preferred ports.
NOTE:If you change the name of an uplink set and then select on the Logical Interconnects screen, connectivity is interrupted briefly.
Add networks to uplink sets and internal networks.
Edit interconnect settings.
Edit utilization sampling rates.
Manage the frequency of control messages through the LACP timer.
Edit NTP client.
Once the logical interconnect group has been created, you cannot change the enclosure count, interconnect bay set, redundancy mode, or the interconnects.
Any changes are applied to the logical interconnects when a logical enclosure is created or updated from its enclosure group.
Privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Network administrator
- From the main menu, select and select the interconnect group to edit.
- Select .
- Make your changes in the logical interconnect group to the interconnect configuration, internal networks, associated uplink sets, interconnect settings, or utilization sampling rates.
- Click OK.
- Verify your changes by selecting the appropriate views. For example, if you changed interconnect settings, select the Interconnect settings view for the logical interconnect group to view your changes.
- To ensure that your changes take effect on the required logical interconnects, go to the logical interconnect screen, select the interconnect to update or from the logical enclosure screen, select the associated logical enclosure to update, then click .
