Synchronize the appliance clock with an NTP server

NOTE:

The time and date settings are applied individually to both the active and standby appliance. Hence, in a clustered appliance both the active and standby appliance receive updates from the server.

If either the standby or active appliance does not synchronize time and locale settings with the configured NTP server, HPE OneView displays an alert message.

Prerequisites
  • Privileges: Infrastructure administrator.
  • You have the IP address of the NTP server.
Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select Settings and do one of the following:

    • Hover the mouse on the Time and Locale panel and click ..

    • Click Time and Locale, and select Actions > Edit.

  2. Select Synchronize with time server.
  3. Enter the IP address of the NTP server in the Network time server field.
  4. Repeat this step for additional NTP servers.
  5. Optional. Set the Default language/locale.
    1. To delete the current setting field, click the ..
    2. Select a language from the drop-down list.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Verify the NTP server configuration in the Time and Locale panel.
