Edit a storage system

For HPE 3PAR StoreServ Storage and HPE Nimble Storage systems, you can only change the Expected SAN/Network and Port Group values.

Prerequisites

  • Privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Storage administrator.

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select STORAGE > Storage Systems, and do one of the following:

    • In the master pane, select the storage system you want to edit and select Actions > Edit.

    • Hover your pointer in the details pane and click the Edit icon.

  2. Edit the values shown on the screen. To change the port group name, remove the existing text and create a port group name. For more information on port groups, see "Automatic port group assignment" in the HPE OneView Help .
  3. Review your changes, and click OK to apply them.
    NOTE:

    You can associate HPE OneView networks or SANs with the storage system ports while adding the storage systems. You can change the network or SAN association at any time.

    You can also select storage pools already configured on the storage system to bring into HPE OneView as managed pools.

  4. Verify that the changes have been made in the details pane.
