Cannot restore backup from the maintenance console

Symptom

Attempts to restore backup from the maintenance console fails on a newly reimaged appliance, when the backup is performed on an IPv6-only environment.

Cause

The appliance address mode on which the backup is taken does not match the address mode of the appliance. The backup is created on an appliance in IPv6 Only address mode. The newly reimaged appliance is in IPv4 address mode.

Action
  1. Perform the first time setup of IPv6 only network configurations using a kiosk.

  2. Retry the restore operation either from the maintenance console or from the remote browser.
