Configuring SSMC for Standards Security Compliance
This section takes you through the various steps that are necessary to configure SSMC and strengthen its security posture such that it is compliant with leading security standards. It is recommended to follow the steps in the given sequence to enable the security settings optimally.
NOTE:
Most of the configuration steps require one or more of the system services to be restarted in order for the new configuration to take effect. Some settings even require an appliance reboot. If you are configuring several settings at once, you can defer the restart or reboot at every step by excluding
-f
switch and answering
no to the interactive restart affirmation query. You can reboot the appliance finally after all the configurations are completed using the TUI menu option
3.
Use the built-in vi-editor to edit any configuration file such as
/ssmc/conf/security_config.properties
,
/opt/hpe/ssmc/ssmcbase/data/resources/ssmc.properties
, and so on.
