Configuring the network
- From the main menu, select Configure Network.
- For SSMC whose network settings have not yet been configured, press Enter when the Configure Network screen appears.
- If network settings have already been configured, a message will be displayed indicating you can change the settings. (Not recommended unless necessary.) If you choose to change the settings, press Enter. Otherwise, press X to return to the main menu.
- Enter the SSMC appliance hostname and press Enter.
- Select Network Device and press Enter.

Select Internet Protocol version.
The following Internet Protocol configurations are supported for an SSMC appliance:

Single virtual Network Interface Card (NIC)
Configure either an IPv4, or an IPv6 address (mixed mode). But both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are not supported together.
Two virtual Network Interface Cards (NIC)
The following configurations are supported:
IPV4, IPv6
IPV4, IPv4
IPV6, IPv6
NOTE:For multihoming requirements, configure two network interfaces with the SSMC appliance.
To remove the IP address from the selected network device, select Remove network configuration.

Select Internet Protocol Type.
Static: If selected, specify IP address.
DHCP: If selected, automatically provides IP address.
Auto: If selected, automatically configures IPv6 address using IPv6 Stateless Address Auto Configuration (SLAAC).
- Enter Y or N to confirm the settings.
- After the Network configuration successful message displays, enter X to return to main menu.
