Nonvolatile memory express with Storage Class Memory

The SCM module leverages Adaptive Flash Cache (AFC) implementation. The main purpose of SCM module is to reduce read latency from the host application.

You can create adaptive flash cache using SCM drives in SSMC. For creating adaptive flash cache using SCM, navigate to Primera & 3PAR SSMC > STORAGE OPTIMIZATION > Adaptive Flash Cache > Actions > Edit.

SSMC supports only RAID 0. Select Standard as the supportive mode. By default, the maximum available SCM drive capacity is selected. Users are not allowed to define the cache size.
