Obtaining supported server firmware image files

Procedure
  1. Navigate to the following website: https://www.hpe.com/support/hpesc.
  2. To locate and download an Online Flash Component file, follow the onscreen instructions.
  3. If you downloaded a Windows component:
    1. Double-click the downloaded file, and then click the Extract button.
    2. Select a location for the extracted files, and then click OK.
  4. If you downloaded a Linux component:
    1. For Linux components, depending on the file format, enter one of the following commands:

      • #./<firmware_file_name>.scexe –unpack=/tmp/

      • #rpm2cpio <firmware_file_name>.rpm | cpio -id

    2. (Optional) If you are working with an Innovation Engine or Server Platform Services (SPS) firmware component, locate the <firmware_file_name>.zip file, and extract the binary file.
