Data center layout

The Layout page lists the racks that have not yet been positioned in a data center. You can use the search box to filter the Unpositioned Racks list. You can also add the racks to the grid from the Unpositioned Racks list by dragging them to the grid or by selecting them and clicking Add button.

Callout Description

A 3D visual representation of the physical layout of the data center and the racks within it. The color of a rack depicts the peak temperature of the device in the rack with the highest peak temperature in the last 24 hours.

Click the front of a rack to view its contents. Hover your pointer over a device in the rack to view the device name, slot number, peak temperature over the last 24 hours, and when the peak temperature occurred. The device name is a hyperlink to its overview on the corresponding screen for the device type.

A horizontal slider that zooms in (left) or out (right) on the data center visualization; visible when you hover your pointer over the Layout panel.

A dial that rotates the data center view 360 degrees horizontally; visible when you hover your pointer over the Layout panel.

A vertical slider that changes the data center view from a side view to a top-down view; visible when you hover your pointer over the Layout panel.

A vertical color spectrum that represents a range of temperatures. These colors depict temperature data for devices in the data center. Hover your pointer over the bar to display the temperature that each color represents.
