Banner and main menu
The banner contains the icons of the main menu, search, filters, guided setup, activity, session, and help.
The main menu is the primary method to navigate to resources and perform actions on them. Click the main menu in the banner to access a resource.
If you are not authorized to view a resource, that resource does not appear in the main menu.
If you do not have the appropriate permissions to perform an action, the action does not appear on the Actions menu.
You can customize the display of resources in HPE OneView, such that resources that are not part of your environment do not appear in the main menu.
- You can pin and unpin the main menu.
Pinning the main menu keeps the menu open and maintains the visibility within the HPE OneView GUI while you perform a task.
- Unpinning the main menu closes the main menu after you make a selection within the interface. The main menu will not be visible again until you click the drop-down icon on the interface.NOTE:
The main menu is unpinned by default.
When you choose to pin the main menu in one browser, the selection propagates within 5 minutes to other browsers or tabs that are logged in under your account.
The preference to either pin or unpin the main menu continues to persist in your account. When you login again, your preference is retrieved and used for the new session. If you select to pin the menu in the previous session, the main menu automatically opens as soon as you log in.
