Create a Brocade switch FOS SAN manager

You can perform SAN zoning configuration in HPE OneView through the Brocade FOS Switch SAN manager.
NOTE:

  • Avoid actively managing SANs using BNA and any other SAN switch interface simultaneously. Other interfaces include Brocade switch FOS REST API (used by HPE OneView FOS SAN manager), Brocade FOS CLI, or Brocade Webtools.

  • HPE OneView prevents the SAN Manager from using BNA and FOS REST API on the same SAN simultaneously. Avoid performing any external use of BNA that changes the SAN configuration when you are using the Brocade FOS switch SAN Manager.

Prerequisites

Privileges: Storage administrator and Infrastructure administrator.

Procedure
  1. Select STORAGE > SAN Managers from the main menu.
  2. Click Add SAN Manager.
  3. Select Brocade FOS switch as SAN manager type.
  4. Enter the IP address and credentials of the switch.
  5. Click OK.

    You can create multiple SAN managers.

  6. Verify that the newly created SAN and all the other SANs appear in the list of SAN managers.
