Clear port counters

After you configure an interconnect, the appliance can capture statistics about network traffic on the interconnect ports and sub ports including transmit, receive, and error counters. The Clear port counters feature resets the port counters to 0 (zero) and records a reset for the collection period.

Port counters are not available for the Virtual Connect 8Gb 20-port Fibre Channel Module.

NOTE:

This action does not disrupt network activity as the interconnect ports remain online.

Prerequisites
  • Privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Network administrator
  • The interconnect is managed

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select NETWORKING > Interconnects.
  2. In the master pane, select the interconnect.
  3. Select Actions > Clear port counters.
    NOTE:

    The Clear port counters action starts immediately, confirmation is not required.

  4. If the activity is successful, the activity displays a green status in the Notifications area. If not, follow the proposed resolution listed under Details in the Notifications area.
