Reset protection

You can reset the loop and pause flood protection for an interconnect from the appliance. You might want to do this after resolving a network loop or pause flood condition. Reset port protection does not apply to interconnect link modules.

NOTE:

Because this action re-enables any disabled ports and clears the alerts generated, there is no impact to network connectivity.

Prerequisites

  • Privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Network administrator

  • The interconnect is managed

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select NETWORKING > Interconnects.
  2. In the master pane, select the interconnect for which you want to reset the loop and pause flood protection.
  3. Select Actions > Reset loop and pause flood protection.
    NOTE: The resetting action starts immediately; confirmation is not required.
  4. If the activity is successful, the activity displays a green status in the Notifications area. If not, follow the proposed resolution listed under Details in the Notifications area.
