Add a license key to HPE OneView

If you purchase HPE OneView Advanced and HPE OneView Advanced w/o iLO licenses separately from the hardware (standalone, nonintegrated), you must add them to the HPE OneView license pool in order for them to be available to assign to your server hardware.

Prerequisites

  • Privileges: Infrastructure administrator, Server administrator.

  • You must have at least one license key.

  • You can purchase, activate, and register standalone (non-integrated) licenses using the Hewlett Packard Enterprise licensing portal at https://myenterpriselicense.hpe.com.

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select Settings.
  2. Do one of the following:

    • In the Licenses panel, click Add.

    • Click Licenses, and then select Actions > Add. The Add License dialog box is displayed.

  3. Enter or paste your license key in the License Key box, and then click Add to complete the action or click Add + to add another key.

    If the key is valid, it is added to the appliance.

  4. Verify that the license was added by viewing the license graph. The numbers should show the license or licenses you added.
NOTE:

When you add licenses to HPE OneView, they are automatically assigned to any hardware that does not have a license assigned.
