Server profile templates SAN storage settings

Configuring SAN storage through a server profile template is supported for ProLiant server blades, but is not supported for ProLiant rack mount servers.

Associating a server profile template with a volume attaches that volume to every server profile created from the server profile template.

Data protection level

The network RAID level of the storage volume.

CHAP name

The iSCSI target username to use when the target (storage system) authenticates the initiator (server). For profile templates, the value is always Pending assignment.

CHAP secret

The iSCSI target secret (password) to use when the target (storage system) authenticates the initiator (server).

Mutual CHAP name

Where the storage system supports mutual CHAP, the iSCSI initiator username to use when the initiator (server) authenticates the target (storage system). For profile templates, the value is always Pending assignment.

Mutual CHAP secret

Where the storage system supports mutual CHAP, the iSCSI initiator secret (password) to use when the initiator (server) authenticates the target (storage system). For profile templates, the value is always Pending assignment.

NOTE:

CHAP values are generated automatically by HPE OneView, and cannot be modified.

CHAP values display Pending assignment in the server profile template, and actual values in the server profile.
