Rack manager rack view

This view is a pictorial representation of an example rack manager platform with its components, and their health states within the rack. To view the device information and link to the configuration details screen, hover your pointer over a component.

The following figure shows an HPE Superdome Flex Server and an HPE Superdome Flex 280 Server that are added into HPE OneView as a rack manager resource for monitoring. The HPE Superdome Flex Server has four chassis (two are part of a partition and two are standalone), and a Rack Management Controller (RMC). The HPE Superdome Flex 280 Server has two chassis that are part of a single partition.

  1. Rack — The rack is 42U in size.

  2. Empty slots — The number of slots that are empty in the rack, represented in rack units.

  3. Manager — The name of the manager, size in rack units, and the unit location. The name is a hyperlink to the Manager details in the Rack Managers screen.

  4. Chassis — The name of the rack manager, chassis name, chassis type, chassis size in rack units, and the unit location. The name is a hyperlink to the Chassis details in the Server Hardware screen.

  5. Partition — The name of the rack manager, chassis name, chassis type, chassis size in rack units, unit location, and the partition name. The name is a hyperlink to the Server Hardware screen details for this device.

  6. Chassis to partition association link — Association link shows the chassis that are part of a partition. When you hover over a chassis that is part of a partition, the association link highlights all the other chassis that are part of the same partition.
