Forcibly add a rack manager currently monitored by another management system

If a rack manager is being monitored by a different HPE OneView management system, you can forcibly add the rack manager for monitoring into the current HPE OneView appliance.

IMPORTANT:

Forcibly adding a rack manager for monitoring will make it inaccessible to the other management system.

Prerequisites

  • Privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Server administrator

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select SERVERS > Rack Managers, and do one of the following:

    • Click + Add rack manager in the master pane.

    • Select Actions > Add.

  2. Enter the data requested on the screen.

    A message displays you cannot add the rack manager because it is already being monitored by another management system. A Force add rack manager check box to add the rack manager forcibly is displayed.

  3. Select Force add rack manager.

    If the rack manager is not being monitored by another management system, this check box is not displayed.

  4. Click Add to complete the action or click Add + to add another rack manager.
  5. Verify that the rack manager is added by confirming that the rack manager is listed in the master pane.
