Add a SAN manager

When you add a SAN manager to HPE OneView, a session to the specified management point is established. SANs that have been configured at the management point are discovered by HPE OneView and displayed on the SANs screen. Discovered SANs can be associated with networks in HPE OneView, and can be configured for automatic zoning.

Prerequisites
  • Privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Storage administrator.
    NOTE:

    To complete this action, privileges of the user role must not be restricted by scope.

  • The SAN manager is supported by HPE OneView. See the HPE OneView Support Matrix for more information about supported SAN managers.

  • The SAN manager is configured properly.

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select STORAGE > SAN Managers, and do one of the following:
    1. Click + Add SAN manager in the master pane.
    2. Select Actions > Add.
    NOTE:

    The Actions menu is not visible until you add at least one SAN manager.

  2. Enter the data requested on the screen.
  3. Click Add to complete the action or click Add + to add another SAN manager.
  4. Verify that the SAN manager has been added in the master pane with attributes appropriate to the SAN manager type.
