Set the SNMP read community string

The appliance configures your enclosures and servers to use the SNMP read community string. If the appliance cannot configure a device to use the read community string, you must manually refresh the device.

The read community string entered here must match the read community string configured on the HPE Insight Management Agent installed on the server.

Prerequisites

  • Privileges: Infrastructure administrator

  • Required only for Gen6 and Gen7 servers

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select Settings.
  2. In the SNMP panel, click Edit.
  3. Enter or edit the SNMP read community string.
  4. Click OK.
