Considerations for managing shared storage volume using multiple HPE OneView appliances
HPE OneView supports adding the following shared storage objects into multiple HPE OneView appliances with certain conditions:
Storage system - Add a storage system into multiple HPE OneView appliances. Each HPE OneView appliance independently performs port load balancing on the storage system.
Storage pool - Add a storage pool into multiple HPE OneView appliances. Each appliance can provision storage volumes from the storage pool.
SAN - Add a SAN into multiple HPE OneView appliances. Only Brocade Network Advisor (BNA) and Brocade Fabric OS (FOS) switch SAN managers support simultaneous zoning of a SAN from multiple appliances. For best results, use the same SAN Zoning Policy for the SAN in each appliance.
Storage volume - Add a storage volume into multiple HPE OneView appliances. Each appliance can have its own server profiles attached to the storage volume. During this process, HPE OneView generates an alert for attachments configured in the other appliances. Using global settings, disable the Extra volume presentations check option in each appliance to stop receiving such alerts.
