Configure port to monitor network traffic
Privileges: Network administrator
- From the main menu, select NETWORKING > Logical Interconnects.
- In the master pane, select the required logical interconnect and do one of the following:

In the Configure port monitoring dialog
box, do the following:
- Set Port monitoring to Enabled.
- Select one of the following Port monitoring type
options:
For Local port monitoring, do the following:
Select the required Network analyzer port from the drop-down list.
Under Monitored ports, click Add port.
In the Add Downlink Ports dialog box, select the required ports, and then click Add for single-server port or Add + for multiple server ports.
For Remote port monitoring, do the following:
Click Add sessions.
In the Add sessions dialog box, perform the following:
Select the required Remote monitoring network.
Select the Uplink port.
Under Monitored ports, click Add ports.
In the Add Downlink Ports dialog box, select the required ports and then click Add for single-server port or Add + for multiple server ports.
Click Add.
- Click OK
- In the map view, select the direction of network traffic to monitor for each port.
- Click OK.

Switch to Port Monitoring view and locate the changes to
verify:
- If port monitoring is enabled.
- To verify port ID indicator color definitions.
