Install the DIMMs

Prerequisites

  1. Review DIMM installation guidelines.

  2. Remove the DIMM baffle and the DIMMs.

Procedure
  1. Locate the DIMM slots on the server blade system board.
    NOTE:

    NonStop X server blades ship with:

    • At least 64 GB of memory.

    • Four 16 GB DIMMs installed in slots P1-A, P2-A, P1-B, and P2-B.

  2. Ensure that the DIMM slot latches are open.
    CAUTION:

    • Use only HPE DIMMs. DIMMs from other sources might adversely affect data integrity.

    • If turned the wrong way, DIMMs do not seat fully.

    • DIMMs in a pair must be identical.

  3. Insert a DIMM in a slot and push down firmly until the latches click shut.
