Replacing a TPA Fuse
TPA fuses are installed in fuse holders, which are then plugged into the fuse panel. To replace a bad TPA fuse:
Procedure
- Locate the bad fuse. Fuses are located on the front of the fuse panel. If the red LED on the fuse holder is lit, the fuse is bad. If the LED is not lit, the fuse is not necessarily good. The fuse could be missing or defective.
- With your thumb and index finger, grasp the fuse holder and pull it straight out of the fuse panel.
- Remove the fuse from the fuse holder by grasping the fuse and pulling firmly.
- Verify that this fuse is the bad fuse (Figure 3: TPA Fuse in Fuse Holder and Good and Bad Fuses).
- Insert the replacement fuse into the holder so that the orange collar is closest to the plug end of the fuse holder (Figure 3: TPA Fuse in Fuse Holder and Good and Bad Fuses).
- With the fuse at the top, insert the fuse holder into the empty fuse slot and push firmly.
