Setting the chassis date and time

The EL4000 chassis includes a real-time clock to store the time and date to provide to the blades when first installed. The HPE ProLiant m710x blades will retain the time and date on the blade once set, but the HPE ProLiant m510 blade does not have a battery backed real-time clock on the blade. The HPE ProLiant m510 blade will retrieve the time and date from the chassis when it is first installed or when the chassis loses external power (AC power or 48V DC power depending on power supplies installed).

The chassis time can be set through the Chassis Information page in iLO.

Procedure
  1. In iLO, navigate to the Chassis Information page.
  2. Highlight and edit the date and time fields as appropriate.
  3. Click the Apply link once the correct time and date have been set.
