RoHS
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is committed to compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including material restriction requirements under the European Union Recast RoHS Directive, otherwise known as EU RoHS 2, applicable restrictions under Annex XVII of the EU REACH Regulation and China’s Management Methods for Restricted Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products, otherwise known as China RoHS 2.
China RoHS
A Chinese regulatory requirement for product labeling that is effective March 1, 2007.
India RoHS
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is committed to comply with the India E-waste (Management) Rules 2016 and its Amendment Rules, including material restriction requirements otherwise known Restricted Use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS).
Vietnam RoHS
As from December 1, 2012, all products manufactured by Hewlett-Packard Company comply with Circular 30/2011/TT-BCT temporarily regulating the permitted limits for a number of hazardous substances in electronic and electric products.

Safety data sheets
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is providing battery Product Information Sheets as a service to its customers. The products addressed in these information sheets are generally viewed as “articles” that are exempt from requirements for Safety Data Sheets such as the Hazard Communication Standard of the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration and similar requirements in other countries. In particular, these products are manufactured according to a specific design, have an end-use dependent upon such design, and do not normally release more than trace amounts of hazardous chemicals.
General Specification for the Environment
The General Specification for the Environment (GSE) defines HPE’s environmental requirements for HPE brand and HPE owned brand products. The GSE is a series of standards that is comprised of HPE Standard 011-00 and all other subsidiary standards.
IT Eco Declarations
A voluntary standard for providing environmental information on a specific product in an industry standard format developed by IT organizations in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.
ErP Lot 3
A European Union regulatory requirement for product environmental declarations that is effective
July 1, 2014.
ErP Lot9
A European Union regulatory requirement (EU Regulation 2019/424) for Product environmental declarations that is effective March 1, 2020. This regulation specifies energy and materials requirements for servers and storage products.
ErP Lot 7
Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/1782 ecodesign requirements for external power supplies, effective April 1, 2020.
