HPE Lifecycle Services
HPE Resource Services is your source for project management, software and hardware technical specialists, IT service management (ITSM), and business critical consultancy to assist you in meeting your project or technical goals. There are multiple resources available that can be combined to meet the unique needs of your organization:
- HPE project management resources provide administrative assistance, disciplined project methodology, and a single point of contact for your IT project needs.
- HPE hardware technical resources provide customized proactive hardware support, such as assisting with your hardware deployment, moves, configuration, or upgrade plans, to meet the specific needs of your organization and provide complementary assistance on the installed system.
- HPE software technical resources provide customized proactive assistance and support for HPE supported software installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- HPE technical resources can provide advice and/or services related to Customer environment, hardware, system infrastructure software, and virtualized environment, including technical performance and capacity assessment.
- HPE technical consultant resources can provide advices and/or services in the areas of availability, security, and performance, and deliver guidance intended to help maintain your high-availability environment.
All of these services are delivered by highly skilled and trained professionals from Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

| Service and resource planning | An HPE service specialist will conduct a remote planning and assessment meeting to review the Customer’s resources needs. A customized plan will be written in the form of a Statement of Work (SOW), the scope of which will be jointly developed with the Customer and will specify the details of the services such as:
A mutually agreed and signed SOW is required for the provision of these services. |
| Project management resources | HPE project management resources include project managers and project specialists. The HPE project manager typically acts as the single point of contact for the Customer and has overall responsibility for the project, with duties that may include developing the project plan or program plan, budget, structure, managing the schedule, managing communication, determining staffing requirements, managing change, and controlling and managing the work of team members and third-party vendors. The HPE project specialist is responsible for administration and project support. The project specialist will typically perform administrative, financial support tasks, and project coordination. Additional duties may include performing analyses, researching alternate solutions, and developing proposals. The HPE project specialist is responsible for administration and project support. | Hardware technical resources | An HPE resource can provide customized proactive hardware services to meet the Customer’s unique needs. Typical activities include assisting the Customer with hardware installation, deinstallation, moves, upgrades, configuration assistance, and facilitating the overall deployment of HPE supported products. |
| Software technical resources | An HPE resource can provide customized proactive software services based upon the Customer’s unique needs. Typical activities include supporting the Customer’s special projects with software installation, configuration, or providing upgrade assistance. |
| Technical consultants | These resources are HPE trained professionals with specific technical and business skills in assessing and advising Customers on high-availability IT environments. These resources typically identify availability, security, and performance issues in the Customer’s IT environment and recommend ways intended to help the Customer reduce risk and improve service levels. |

To be eligible to purchase HPE software technical resource, hardware technical resource, technical consultant, and/or business critical consultant services, the Customer must:
- Hold a currently valid warranty or support contract on the system for which the resource is purchased for any activity involving a change to the configuration
- Purchase the resource services for a minimum period of one (1) day; service delivery will be performed during HPE local business hours unless stated otherwise in the SOW
- Sign off on the SOW prior to the start of the service

- Any work not specifically detailed in the SOW
- Software technical, hardware technical, and business critical consultant resources are not available for HPE consumer products
- Travel charges may apply separately; consult your local HPE office
- Any work occurring outside of local standard business hours is subject to additional charges and must be agreed in the SOW

The following supplemental terms apply to these services and take precedence in the event of any conflict:
- Upon receipt of an acceptable order, HPE will contact the Customer within seven (7) business days to organize a service delivery date. Service delivery dates are subject to resource availability and may be scheduled up to 30 days from the order acceptance date.
- The Customer must schedule and receive delivery of these services within 180 days from order acceptance. HPE reserves the right to reprice for services not scheduled and delivered within 180 days. Backorders or shipment delays may affect the delivery timeline. Orders for services will expire after 365 days (one year) from the order acceptance date for services not scheduled and delivered, and the Customer will not be entitled to a refund for the unused services.

This service is available either on a per-event basis or may be eligible for purchase under an existing HPE service contract. As previously stated, these services require a mutually agreed and signed SOW that defines the scope of these services and can be ordered with the applicable part number(s) detailed in the SOW.
