HPE Lifecycle Services — Site Readiness
Service overview
HPE Service professionals intend to provide expert help and guidance to coordinate, assess, and provide a report of findings to help ensure your site readiness to implement HPE Compute and Storage products. The HPE Lifecycle Services — Site Readiness service is intended to support customers and partners (herein referred to as Customer) who plan to install current HPE Compute and Storage product models. HPE will provide the HPE Lifecycle Services — Site Readiness on-site or remotely, based on the HPE Service Credits menu item, redeemed to indicate on-site or remote service.

An HPE Services specialist will contact the Customer to schedule the service delivery at a time mutually agreed upon by Hewlett Packard Enterprise and the Customer.
During this service planning activity, the HPE Services specialist will work with the Customer to plan all the necessary activities, which will include:
- Planning and preparing to assess the environmental prerequisites for installing HPE Compute and Storage products
- Data gathering / site assessment (remote or on-site)
- Analysis and report preparation
- Report presentation

The Customer will:
- Assign a designated person to participate in the remote service planning and follow-on service activity.
- Ensure that a designated person is assigned and who, on behalf of the Customer, will grant all approvals, provide information, and confirm that the hardware, firmware, and software needed to deliver this service are available. They will also ensure that software products are properly licensed and otherwise available to assist HPE in facilitating the service delivery. The designated primary contact will be:
- Responsible for all the Customer aspects of the assigned work efforts
- Authorized to make all project-related decisions, including identifying and assigning Customer resources
- Available and ready to interface with the HPE assigned resources on day-to-day issues throughout the project
- Authorized to sign status reports and approve project changes
- Able to coordinate all work efforts and meeting schedules
- Provide suitable VPN or other connectivity as required for remotely delivered services.
- Give HPE the necessary access to Customer building facilities and computer room facilities, as well as access credentials for logging into all servers, databases, and services for the service planning, as required.
- Provide a suitable work area for service delivery, including access to an outside telephone line, power, and network connections.
- Allow HPE full and unrestricted network access to all locations where the service will be performed on-site.
- Ensure that all service prerequisites have been met.
- Advise HPE of any special security, health, and safety matters applicable to the Customer site where the service will be provided.
- Provide HPE, on request, any information that HPE may request about the service’s implementation.
- Coordinate all required internal/third-party participation and cooperation.
- Assign or make available experienced subject matter and technical experts, upon request or as needed.
- Ensure that all information provided by the Customer is complete, accurate, and up to date.
- Perform other reasonable activities to help HPE identify, implement, or resolve problems, as requested by HPE.
- Enable HPE application and follow assessment steps to complete the remote site assessment at the Customer site.

Activities such as, but not limited to, the following are excluded from this service:
- Application integration or integration of third-party products or peripherals not included in the system
- Backup, recovery, and support of the operating system, other software, and data
- Operational testing of applications or other tests requested or required by the Customer
- Planning, design, or implementation of the Customer’s overall environment or architecture
- Installation of other HPE Services and devices
- Integration with any hardware or software components
- For on-site assessments a site will be limited to one building, floor, or data center. If on-site assessment is needed for a large muti-building or campus location Service Credits will need to be redeemed based on the number of buildings and data centers, the effort for one site should not exceed one business day

- To the extent HPE processes personal data on the Customer’s behalf in the course providing this service, the HPE Support and Professional Services — Data Privacy and Security Agreement, found at hpe.com/us/en/legal/customer-privacy.html shall apply.
- HPE resource time depends on the Customer’s compliance with required prerequisites and participation.
- Provide site contacts who will complete remote site assessment activities and give the assessment results.
- Customer acknowledges and agrees that HPE may use resources outside the country of purchase to deliver these services unless otherwise specified as part of a service feature description.
- HPE reserves the right to charge, on a time-and-materials basis, for any additional work over and above the service package pricing that may result from work required to address service prerequisites or other requirements the Customer does not meet.
- HPE’s ability to deliver the services depends on Customer’s full and timely cooperation with HPE, as well as the accuracy and completeness of information and data the Customer provides to HPE.
- This data sheet is governed by the HPE current standard sales terms, which include the supplemental data sheet, or, if applicable, the Customer’s purchase agreement with Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
- Any services not clearly specified in this document.
- Upon receipt of an acceptable order, HPE will contact the Customer within seven (7) business days to organize a mutually agreed service delivery date.
