HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Business Edition software, attached to HPE Storage Alletra MP B10000

1. Service overview

1.1. HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Business Edition software, attached to HPE Storage Alletra MP B10000 (the “Service”) is a software-as-service solution offered on the HPE GreenLake platform (the “platform”) —that provides access to a self-managed private cloud solution with a unified web interface to simplify VM to infrastructure management abstracting and automating underlying infrastructure, shifting operations to be app centric.

1.2. The Service provides the capability to manage private cloud infrastructure.

1.3. As part of the Service, HPE authorizes Customer to access the Service during the term in accordance with the Agreement. At the end of the term, the Customer will no longer have access to Service features and updates. HPE will continue to provide security updates where legally required.

1.4. The Service will be configured to the number of compute nodes set out in the legal quote.

  • 2. Core service features

    2.1. Self-Service cloud management to manage virtual machines across compatible hybrid cloud infrastructure.

    2.2. Protect data resources across hybrid cloud estate using integrated workflows that include provisioning policies to apply Data Services and Protection policies.

    2.3. Simplified infrastructure operation (provisioning for both on-prem and compatible public cloud instances) with integrated protection using blueprints. (Additional subscription may be required)

    2.4. Global dashboarding including VMs and clusters, capacity/trends, performance details/trends, alerts, audit logging, task status and protection levels.

    2.5. Full Stack lifecycle management including automated catalogue-based updates of the various hardware, software, and firmware components.

    2.6. Seamless Data Mobility - VM mobility between clusters or datastores for high availability.

    2.7. Supported Cloud VM provisioning with choice of appropriate OS images and Instance types.

    2.8. Deployment services for the initial setup of the Service

  • 3. Requirements

    3.1. The Service will be provided for the term but only as long as Customer has:

    • 3.1.1. an active HPE Alletra SW and Support SaaS subscription, and
    • 3.1.2. an active HPE-branded support contract for HPE Storage Alletra MP B10000.

    3.2. For renewal purposes, an Active HPE-branded support contract for HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 is required, that matches or exceeds the renewal term.

  • 4. Exclusions

    • 4.1. Customers are responsible for procuring any 3rd party software licenses required for the Service e.g., VMware vSphere licenses, as the Service does not include any 3rd party software licenses.

  • 5. Customer responsibilities

    5.1. Platform connectivity: Customer is responsible for the connectivity to the platform, including internet connectivity, the administration, and the management of the data/objects.

    5.2. Procuring required software: Customer is responsible for purchasing and installing the OS, virtualization software, and related software licenses and support in relation to the underlying hardware environment.

    5.3. Hardware environment: Customer is responsible for procuring and enabling the installation (including platform connectivity) of the hardware covered by the Service. Customer must maintain these hardware assets at the latest configuration and revision levels published by HPE.
