Executive Biography

Thomas Rhodes  

HPE Distinguished Technologist, Hewlett Packard Labs 

Hewlett Packard Enterprise

Tom Rhodes’ current work focuses on datacenter IT efficiency and sustainability. He is also investigating large-scale system simulation and modeling.

In over thirty years with Compaq, HP, and HPE, Tom has worked on many aspects of the ProLiant server line, including multiprocessor platform bring-up and debugging, published several industry record-setting TPC-A/TPC-B database benchmarks, and developed parts of the p-class, c-Class, and Synergy blade enclosure infrastructure. Tom contributed to several industry standards, including the PCI Hot-Plug Specification and the DIG64: Developers’ Interface Guide for IA-64 Servers.

Tom earned his MSEE from Stanford University and his BSEE from Oklahoma State University. He holds eight granted patents.
