The global supply chain landscape presents exciting opportunities and significant challenges. At HPE, we’re committed to staying ahead of this curve, focusing on the key priorities that will drive growth—not only for us, but for our operations partners as well.

In a recent fireside chat with our CEO Antonio Neri at the HPE Operations Partner Summit, I had the opportunity to discuss how we’re positioning ourselves for the future, with a focus on building the best networking business on the planet, advancing our HPE GreenLake hybrid cloud leadership, and delivering the world’s best AI infrastructure, services and experiences. In HPE Operations, we’re responsible for delivering products, services and experiences on behalf of HPE.

When operations partners align with these priorities, they become integral to a larger mission—driving innovation, delivering secure, sustainable solutions to our customers, and fostering a more predictable future

So how do we support Antonio’s vision? We align how we deliver for HPE with the most pressing needs from the supply chain industry. That means focusing on AI, Sustainability, Security, and Resiliency—priorities that underpin everything we do in HPE Operations. When operations partners align with these priorities, they become integral to a larger mission—driving innovation, delivering secure, sustainable solutions to our customers, and fostering a more predictable future.

Here’s how each of our operational priorities support HPE’s ambitions—and why we need help to achieve them. Operations partners can reach out to their HPE Supplier Engagement Manager or Global Commodity Manager to learn more about our programs.

  • AI: The demand for AI-driven solutions is growing rapidly, and drives demand for our core businesses in Networking, Hybrid Cloud, and Servers. Operations partners can work with us to meet these opportunities quickly and efficiently, but our partnership doesn't stop there. HPE Operations leverages AI and other automation technologies to improve our partner and customer experience and reduce friction with our operations partners. By integrating these solutions into our partnership, we enhance operational efficiency, provide seamless interactions, and create a more responsive and adaptive operational ecosystem. To do this effectively, we need regular feedback and collaboration with our operations partners to ensure we’re moving faster and delivering with operational efficiency.

  • Sustainability: Operations partners play a crucial role in driving sustainability. By collaborating on carbon reduction initiatives, adopting eco-friendly practices, and supporting science-based targets, we can reduce our environmental footprint and create new opportunities. This year, we’re enhancing our enterprise climate targets, advancing a sustainable technology roadmap, and continuing to reduce logistics emissions through strategic partnerships. Operations Partners can continue to help us ensure sustainable practices across our supply, manufacturing, logistics and services by sharing data around energy and emissions and aligning to our carbon aspiration targets.

  • Security: Cybersecurity has always been a business priority, but as cyber threats grow in complexity and frequency, our proactive approach to supply chain security becomes even more critical. When we deliver on behalf of HPE we need to do it the right way to ensure our customers are safeguarded against cybersecurity risks. Only together can we build secure, transparent supply chains that ensure product integrity and strengthen our collective cyber resiliency.

  • Resiliency: Any global supply chain is exposed to external risks, from shortages to natural disasters to geopolitical unrest. HPE Operations works hard with a large ecosystem of operations partners—from component suppliers to logistics partners to services partners—to be resilient. This includes the ability to plan ahead to avoid disruption through geo-diversification, supply chain redundancy, and other risk mitigation planning. Resilience is about being able to serve our customers and partners in an unpredictable world. Operations partners who prioritize business continuity and adaptability are key to keeping us agile, no matter what comes our way. Agile supply chains adapt to potential risks before they emerge, and we can only do this in collaboration with our whole ecosystem of partners.

Success is about more than just hitting targets—it's about collaboration that drives real change

By collaborating in these areas, our partners have turned challenges into opportunities throughout the year. For example:

1. Building Supply Chain Resilience: Preparing for Challenges and Seizing Opportunities

Resilience is the backbone of a strong, secure supply chain. And we’re committed to ensuring we can adapt quickly to any disruption. Hitachi Vantara, our FY25 Cybersecurity Award winner, exemplifies this commitment by working with us to implement robust cybersecurity controls, risk management, and incident responses that safeguard our operations and maintain business continuity.

2. Partnering for the Future: Driving Long-Term Success Together

Our FY25 Component Supply Partner Award winner Broadcom is a prime example of how strategic partnerships can drive long-term success. From early design to sustaining products through end-of-life, their deep collaboration with HPE ensures that both product performance and customer experience are prioritized at every stage. Broadcom’s proactive, long-term approach to partnership fosters innovation, resilience, and growth—ultimately creating enduring value where customers continue to choose us time and time again.

3.
Achieving Success: Partnering with NVIDIA

Success is about more than hitting targets—it’s about collaboration that drives real change. NVIDIA, our FY25 Partner of the Year, is a perfect example. Their innovative work in GPUs has created new markets and applications for AI, unlocking significant growth for both HPE and our customers. What sets NVIDIA apart is their proactive, customer-centric approach to innovation. Their commitment to sustainability also plays a key role, designing energy-efficient AI solutions that support our shared vision for a more sustainable future. NVIDIA doesn’t just meet expectations—they redefine them, driving innovation that accelerated our AI, sustainability, security, and resiliency goals while delivering lasting impact.
