Today, HPE is providing an early preview on one of our major MWC Barcelona 2025 demos by announcing the HPE ProLiant Compute DL110 Gen12 platform. Based on the powerful new Intel® Xeon® 6 SoC (formerly codenamed Granite Rapids D), HPE ProLiant Compute DL110 Gen12 is designed specifically for telecom operator deployments at the far edge of networks, combining industry-leading compute, thermal performance, and IO density with state-of-the-art security.
Built for an evolving telecom industry and need for enhanced security
The telecom industry is evolving, and telecom operators are looking to modernize their networks by operationalizing virtualized RAN solutions while optimizing power efficiency and cost structure. Powered by the recently announced Intel® Xeon® 6 SoC, HPE ProLiant Compute DL110 Gen12 fulfills these goals with the optimum core density, front haul density, and support for vRAN accelerators, including Intel vRAN Boost, which substantially increases capacity compared to the previous generation. HPE ProLiant Compute DL110 Gen12 also builds upon its predecessor’s industry-leading IO by leveraging the Xeon 6 SoC Integrated Ethernet to expand capacity and improve overall TCO for customers. These features and capabilities promise significantly improved performance per watt across many workloads.
At a time when organizations live under the constant threat of data breaches, with a need to protect data at all costs, the HPE ProLiant Compute DL110 Gen12 provides an additional layer of protection: a secure enclave. This embedded, independent security processor within the HPE iLO 7 ASIC ensures a highly controlled, tamper-resistant environment that is especially important at a network’s edge, and eliminates vulnerabilities associated with external EEPROM storage.
The secure enclave is built on top of HPE iLO Silicon Root of Trust 2.0, a robust security foundation with multi-layered protection against current and future threats. Embedded within the server hardware, HPE iLO ensures that every layer of firmware and software loads securely and is verified from the moment the server is powered on. This provides an unbreakable chain of trust, protecting servers against firmware attacks, unauthorized access, and tampering, ensuring the highest level of data integrity and system reliability.
Additionally, HPE is participating in the server industry’s development of new Data Center Modular Hardware System standards to increase interoperability between key elements of data center, edge, and enterprise infrastructure, delivering greater operational flexibility and ensuring long-term investment protection.
