Modify the enclosure group when all enclosures will include HPE Synergy Image Streamer

NOTE:

If some, but not all the logical enclosures will include Image Streamer, Modify the enclosure group when some enclosures will include HPE Synergy Image Streamer.

If all the logical enclosures in an enclosure group will include Image Streamer, use the following steps to modify the enclosure group.

Prerequisites

Privileges: Infrastructure administrator
Image Streamer OS deployment server is added.
Uplinks are added for Image Streamer.

Procedure

From the main menu, select SERVERS > Enclosure Groups, then do one of the following:
- In the master pane, select the enclosure group that you want to edit and select Actions > Edit.
- Hover your pointer in the details pane and click the Edit icon.
Edit the enclosure group to remove the existing logical interconnect group from each HPE Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 Module for HPE Synergy or HPE Virtual Connect SE 100Gb F32 Module for HPE Synergy, where the Image Streamer devices are connected.
Set the Logical Interconnect Group to None, and save your changes.
From the main menu, navigate to the Logical Interconnect Group screen, and Edit a Logical Interconnect group to add a new Image Streamer uplink set. Depending on whether theImage Streamer configuration is multiframe or single frame, add uplink sets specific to the Image Streamer configuration.
1. Specify a Name.
2. Set Type.
  - Ethernet is for a single frame non-HA configuration.
    NOTE:
    If an HPE VC SE 100Gb F32 Module interconnect is used in a single frame, the type is set as Image Streamer.
  - Image Streamer is for a multiframe HA configuration.
3. Set the Network to the deployment network previously created.
4. Add uplink ports for the installed HPE VC SE 40Gb F8 Module or the installed HPE VC SE 100Gb F32 Module connections.
  - For a multiframe HA configuration, add the uplink ports to both the A and B side of the module.

  - For a single frame non-HA configuration, add the uplink port to the A side of the HPE Virtual Connect module.

Edit the enclosure group to add the modified logical interconnect group, and perform the following changes:
1. Set the Deployment network type.
  - External for a single frame non-HA configuration.
    NOTE:
    If HPE VC SE 100Gb F32 Module interconnect is used in a single frame, the deployment network mode can be set to Internal.
  - Internal for a multiframe HA configuration.
2. If the Deployment network type is External, set the Network to the deployment network previously created.
  If the Deployment network type is Internal, the Network is automatically selected.
3. Add the edited Logical Interconnect Group to the Enclosure Group.
  After you add the Logical Interconnect Group, the logical enclosure associated with the Enclosure Group reports an inconsistency.
Select Update from group from the Logical Enclosure screen to configure the deployment cluster for OS deployments.
This action resolves the inconsistency reported previously.
