Deleting archived log files
Administrators sometimes have to delete archived log files to free up the disk space. Once you complete the
file_permission
operation, the log files cannot be deleted from the general bash shell. However, the log files can be deleted in the default SSMC appliance, where file permissions are not secured.
SSMC provides a scripted command to delete the archived log files to free up storage space. Run the following command to delete archived logs:
sudo /ssmc/bin/config_security.sh -o delete_archive_logs
