Activating SSMC in Test Mode

SSMC appliance can be switched to operate in a test mode. When enabled, some of the hardened operating policies such as firewall rules are relaxed or turned off, thereby enabling execution of automated test tools – for example, IPv6 compliance tests. The administrator must exercise caution in that this mode can never be enabled in a production environment.

Test Mode in SSMC can be enabled, disabled, or tested for current status by executing the following command:

sudo /ssmc/bin/config_security.sh -o test_mode -a [enable | disable | status]
