Unmanaged Devices
An unmanaged device is a physical resource, such as a server, enclosure, KVM (keyboard, video and mouse) switch, in-rack monitor/keyboard, or router that is located in a rack or consumes power but is not currently managed by the appliance. Some unmanaged devices are unsupported devices that cannot be managed by the appliance. By adding unmanaged devices to racks, you can obtain a more complete analysis of space, power, and cooling in the data center, and you can use the appliance to view hardware inventory information about these devices.
