Edit unmanaged device properties

Edit an unmanaged device to describe a set of characteristics, such as location, maximum power, height, and model, that the appliance uses to analyze space requirements and power consumption for the rack.

Prerequisites

  • Privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Server administrator

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select FACILITIES > Unmanaged Devices, and then:
    1. In the master pane, select the unmanaged device you want to edit and select Actions > Edit.
    2. Hover your pointer in the details pane and click the Edit icon.
  2. Edit the values shown on the screen.

    To edit the values for the Location value or Powered by value, go to Racks resource page or Power Delivery Devices resource page.

  3. Review your changes, and click OK to apply them.
  4. Verify that your changes have been made in the details pane.
