Add an enclosure to monitor the hardware

You can add enclosures to inventory and monitor the hardware.

Prerequisites

  • Privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Server administrator.

  • Minimum HPE BladeSystem Onboard Administrator firmware as indicated in the HPE OneView Support Matrix.

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select Enclosures and do one of the following:

    • Click + Add enclosure in the master pane.

    • Select Actions > Add.

  2. Select Add enclosure for monitoring.
  3. Enter the data requested on the screen.
    NOTE:

    You are not setting the Onboard Administrator name and Onboard Administrator password, but are supplying credentials to establish a trust relationship between HPE OneView and the Onboard Administrator.

  4. Choose Add or Add +.
  5. Verify that the enclosure has been added in the master pane.

The enclosure is added for monitoring and HPE OneView Standard license is automatically selected.
