Pending updates count and status

The count is grouped by the status of the available updates. Each resource is counted once and towards each status bar of the update category. The following statuses are covered:
  • Critical: Updates on fixes that resolve critical security and nonsecurity issues. For example, fixes that address crashes, memory corruption, data loss, and other similar issues which need to be fixed at the earliest opportunity.
  • Recommended: Updates on fixes that address issues for various firmware components and are recommended by Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
  • Optional: Updates on new features or enhancements.
The following illustrations show the firmware compliance summary bar chart and its detailed view.
NOTE:

The total count of all the bars equals the number of rows in the detailed view. If more than one firmware bundle impacts a hardware item, it is counted once for each separate instance of the firmware bundle.

The count for each resource is arrived at by matching towards two firmware bundles: SPP 2018.06.0 and SPP 2019.03.0.
