Add access for an SNMP manager

An SNMP manager is responsible for the communication with an SNMP agent-implemented network device.

Prerequisites

  • Privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Network administrator

  • Not available for Virtual Connect Fibre Channel interconnects

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select NETWORKING > Logical Interconnects or Logical Interconnect Groups, select the logical interconnect, and then do one of the following:
    1. Select Actions > Edit.
    2. Click the Edit icon.
  2. In the SNMP view, click Add SNMP access.
  3. Enter the IP address or subnet of the SNMP manager.
    NOTE:

    Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are supported.

  4. Click Add, or click Add + to add access to other SNMP managers.
  5. Click OK to update the logical interconnect or logical interconnect group.
  6. To verify that the specified SNMP access was added, locate the SNMP access information in the SNMP view.
