Forcibly remove a server if a remove action fails

If a rack server is experiencing connectivity issues with the appliance and you attempt to remove it, the remove action might fail. In this situation, you can forcibly remove the server, bypassing the connectivity issues.

IMPORTANT:

Removing a server also removes any network connections assigned to it.

Prerequisites

Privileges: Infrastructure administrator or Server administrator

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select SERVERS > Server Hardware.
  2. In the master pane, select the server you want to remove.
  3. Select Actions > Remove.
  4. After you receive a message indicating that the appliance cannot communicate with the server hardware, click Refresh.
  5. If you receive a message indicating that the server hardware is managed by another management system, click Remove or select Force remove server hardware.
  6. Review the confirmation message, and then click Yes, remove to remove the server.
  7. Verify that the rack server has been removed in the master pane.
