Prerequisites for bringing server hardware into an appliance
Server hardware model
The server hardware must be a supported model listed in the HPE OneView Support Matrix.
The server hardware must have a valid serial number and product ID programmed into it that matches the physical tag on the server hardware. The server is shipped out of the factory with the correct configuration. If the server is repaired or replaced after it has been shipped, a mismatch can occur. If a mismatch does occur, the serial number and product ID can be programmed using the UEFI System Utilities from the system console. For more information, see Replace the system board on a server that has a server profile assigned.
iLO firmware
The iLO firmware version must meet the minimum requirement listed in the HPE OneView Support Matrix. If Service Pack for ProLiant is uploaded into HPE OneView, and if theiLO firmware is below the minimum supported version, the firmware is updated automatically.
IP addresses
The iLO must have an IP address that is reachable by HPE OneView.
For details, see HPE OneView Installation Guide.
Local user accounts
iLO must be configured to allow for local user accounts.
Ports
HPE OneView communicates with the iLO using the default TCP/IP ports specified by the iLO. If you change these ports on the iLO, HPE OneView will not be able to manage the server.
