Resolve connectivity issues between the appliance and server hardware

You can manually refresh the connection between the appliance and server hardware by using the Refresh option on the Actions menu. Refresh the server hardware if it has lost connectivity or if it is not synchronized with the appliance. Connectivity loss can occur during normal appliance operation. Modifying a device outside of the appliance can cause the device to become unsynchronized with the appliance.

If the connectivity loss is the result of a changed IP address, the first refresh fails because HPE OneView does not have the proper address. Refreshing a second time causes HPE OneView to prompt for a new IP address. Enter the new address to reestablish communication. See the online help for the Enclosures screen to learn more.

NOTE:

Hewlett Packard Enterprise does not recommend using the iLO or HPE BladeSystem Onboard Administrator to modify a device. Doing so can cause the device to become unsynchronized with HPE OneView.
