Change the Appliance network settings

Use this procedure to change any of the following appliance network settings:

  • Host name

  • IP address

  • Subnet mask

  • Gateway address

Prerequisites

Privileges: Infrastructure administrator

Procedure
  1. From the main menu, select Settings.
  2. Do one of the following:

    • In the Networking panel, click ..

    • Click Networking and then select Actions > Edit.

  3. Edit any of the appliance network characteristics.
    CAUTION:

    Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends using a static IP address for best results.

    DHCP randomly assigns addresses. Changes to the address assigned to the appliance by the DHCP server might result in connectivity issues and failures.

  4. Click OK to reconfigure the appliance network.
