Nothing happens after selecting “Launch Console” from the Actions menu

Symptom

Nothing happens after selecting Launch console from the Actions menu. No remote console opens, and no dialog to install the remote console application appears.

Cause

The Integrated Remote Console application may have been uninstalled or could be out of date, or some other event may have caused the actual application status to be out of sync with the installation status flag of the browser. When this happens, HPE OneView attempts to launch an application that is not there or is not functioning.

Action
  1. To reinstall the console, press the Shift key and select Actions > Launch console.
    This forces the console installation dialog to appear.
  2. To reinstall the software, click Install software and follow the steps to install the application again.
  3. Click My installation is complete — Launch console to launch the console after it is installed.
