Cannot restart the appliance after a shutdown

Symptom

The restart action resulted in a shutdown, instead of a restart.

Cause

An internal server error might have occurred.

Action

Required privileges: Infrastructure administrator

  1. Check the appliance console from your VM hypervisor to see if the HPE OneView appliance is running or shutdown.
    1. If the console is shut down, power on the appliance using your Hypervisor controls.
    2. If the console is running, try the steps given below.
  2. Log in as the Infrastructure administrator.
  3. Retry the restart action.
  4. SSH to the appliance and retry the restart action from the Maintenance console.
  5. If the problem persists, create a support dump and contact support.
